  • Located in Boston area, you will work remotely out of your home office; you will be calling on Automotive Warehouse Distributors, their Stores and Installer accounts within an assigned Territory and selling our engine management and temp control products.
  • You will research customer needs and develop application of products and services in an effective manner to determine market strategies and goals for each product and service.
  • You’ll strategize and analyze target market trends and prospect list to better target viable customers and provide efficient, on-demand support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement distribution strategies to accelerate growth of new and additional products and/or new markets
  • Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments within defined target markets
  • Build and maintain relationship management with current and prospect customers
  • Maintain an effective communication path with the customer to ensure sales opportunities for our products
  • Make regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads
  • Develop and maintain long and short range sales and marketing plans
  • Monitor and communicate sales activity to contribute to product and service planning
  • Provide top-quality, SMP customer service for all clients and prospects
  • Implement marketing strategies to accelerate growth of new and additional products and/or new markets
  • Monitor competitive environment to identify opportunities and countermeasures to address competition

About Position

  • This full-time position offers a starting salary of $50,000. On top of that salary, the living accommodations “during your time in the program” will be covered including: hotels, transportation, airfare, utilities, and travel-related meals.

  • Upon completion of the program, candidates will be placed into a Territory Sales Manager opening, location will be determined on an ad hoc basis. Once given the sales role, an increased base salary will be offered along with a commission program based on sales success. You will also be provided a company car upon location designation.

Job Requirements

About You

  • High school degree or equivalent work experience is required. College degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Mobility across the U.S. is a requirement to be accepted into this program and to be considered. Relocation is mandatory and expected.
  • Travel required for this position is 50-70%.
  • Ability to work within a team and also independently.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Must be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to drive long distances for extended periods of time.
  • The ability to operate a motor vehicle is an essential function of the position. Applicants must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Willingness to temporarily live with other trainees should multiple be hired at one time.
