Job Description

The Human Resources Administrator will provide a broad spectrum of support related to employee records management, new hire administration (i.e. orientation and on-boarding), benefits support, liaising with payroll and other administrative duties. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain employee files as required by laws and regulations
  • Career site management
  • Create new hire packets, and manage the onboarding experience for new hires (offer letters, etc.)
  • Process terminations, promotions, adjustments, etc.
  • Perform background checks for all new hires/interns
  • Corporate Event Planning including Annual Holiday Party & Corporate Challenge
  • Corporate Compliance for all locations
  • Manage annual company newsletter, Voice of Standard
  • Parking administrator for NY facility
  • Organizing details for meetings (calendar invites, paperwork)
  • Department Check Requests / Invoicing
  • Manage LinkedIn Learning
  • Company Announcements, including translations and distributing
  • Responding to Audit Requests including providing documentation from employee personnel files
  • Expense Reports for VP of HR
  • Gather requested paperwork for auditors
  • Participate in special projects and performs additional duties as required
  • Update SMP Benefits, SMP Careers sites, as needed

 

Job Requirements

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Excellent verbal/written communications, customer service experience, and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Experience assisting a department or supervisor with various tasks and projects
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Organization skills, including time management and the ability to balance conflicting priorities in order to ensure completion of essential projects and task.
  • The ability to thoughtfully communicate with employees, HR Associates, and vendors through a variety of different methods in a way that is most beneficial to our audience.
  • Ability to provide exceptional, timely, and professional customer service to employees and their dependents
