Job Description



We are looking for a Dot Net Developer to help manage and provide daily support of our mission critical business applications. The candidate will participate in requirements gathering sessions, architecture design, and work alongside other developers to build new mobile responsive websites and enhance existing applications to support the growing needs of the business. The individual should have solid experience with all layers of a web application, cross-platform mobile development, strong SQL skills, and intimate knowledge of Software Design Patterns and best practices. The candidate will also work with other departments on project development, provides solutions to system and/or operational issues, and resolves emergency software problems. This position is based at our office in Lewisville, Texas.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. May perform other duties as requested or assigned.

  • Design and build new mobile applications as well as support existing mobile applications (native as well as hybrid) for iOS and Android platforms
  • Design, Develop and Unit Test mobile applications, API, Web services, and Micro Services.
  • Assist with maintaining and developing internal and external websites, and .Net-based applications.
  • Designs and develops computer programs that automate specific business processes.
  • Work with Sr. Programmer analysts / IT Management to analyze and understand functions to be automated, user needs, objectives, desired features, and input and output requirements.
  • Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
  • Work with other internal and external resources to create and establish programs that will benefit SMP.
  • Train end users or technical support staff to use programs.
  • Adhere to corporate IT SOX policies for application development activities.
  • Adhere to corporate software change management policies.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree or, in-lieu of degree, equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
  • 4+ years of years of experience in the Microsoft technology stack
  • 2+ years of cross-platform mobile development experience using Xamarin, Apache Cordova or React Native.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and SOLID design principles
  • Experience in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery
  • Proficient with SOAP and Restful Web Services (WCF, Web API)
  • Proficient in SQL Server 2012 and above, Transact SQL, stored procedures
  • Desirable Skills include Identity Server 4.0, GIT, SharePoint, TFS or Azure DevOps services, SQL Server 2017/2019 and SharePoint
