Job Description

Overall Scope

Maintain already established training systems and develop training process for additional departments in a manufacturing site.  Training coordinator will development skills lists for positions and identify strategic skill groupings for manufacturing areas, coordinate with HR and operations leadership training schedules and maintaining documentation including new hire, cross training and safety training activities. 

Essential Functions

  • Maintain existing training matrix and associated documentation in areas where established
  • Develop new training process and documentation for additional areas in plant from scratch
  • Coordinate for new hire orientation with Human Resources
  • Coordinate with team leader/supervisor on new hire assignments.
  • Coordinate quality certification classes with Quality Manager
  • Monitor and review new hire performance with team leader/supervisor. Put extra focus on effectiveness of 30 day review.
  • Develop cross training strategy with team leader/supervisor
  • Escalate to manager when conflict exists between new hire and trainer or with team leader/supervisor
  • Ongoing identification and development of Area Trainers as appropriate

 

Job Requirements

Requriements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating training functions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment.
  • Able to work on all shifts (1st, 2nd, Weekend Day and Weekend Night)
