Job Description and Responsibilities:

We have opportunities for a Process Technician to provide technical support to the manufacturing process.

Hours:

Weekend 1st Shift           6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Friday thru Sunday.  Overtime as required. 

Overall Scope

           

Make all tasks of an employee of the Quality Department which has to be done in his / her responsibility according to the Quality Manual Handbook and the Procedural Instructions.

Responsibilities and Duties

           

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Perform first piece inspection
  • Assist QE in PPAP, and R & R studies for new and existing product lines.
  • Troubleshoot and service measurement equipment/gauges.
  • Utilize various measuring systems within a lab environment.
  • Participate in writing Standard Operating Procedures for equipment and measurement processes.
  • Perform Product/Process audits and report out quantitative results using Excel and other reporting methods. 
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.

Essential Functions

  • Walking to and around the production floor, sitting at desk.
  • Handling and lifting of various parts on production floor up to 30lbs.
  • Working in lab using various measurements machines and handling parts for measurement and inspecting.
  • Typing on computer, reviewing monitor while sitting in chair at desk.
  • Using telephone

Job Requirements

           

Minimum Requirements

           

  • High School Diploma, and demonstrated experience with quality measurements in a high precision manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic GD & T / Blueprint reading.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic measurement tools, at a minimum, comparator, calipers, pin/plug/thread gages and microscopes.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • ISO/TS Auditing experience helpful.
  • Experience training operators on the use of measurement equipment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with high precision machining, heat treat, leak testing and small component assembly is a plus.
  • Associate Degree in industrial technology or related field a plus.
  • Use of hand tools, hand eye coordination required.
  • Lifting up to 30 lbs during workday
