About the Job

 

We are looking for a Process Technician for a new Gasoline Direct Injection assembly operation.  The highly automated process includes PLC controllers, HMI Interface and spray pattern analysis equipment. The job includes all duties necessary, under the general direction of the Supervisor to maintain the assigned production equipment to include set up, changeover, preventive maintenance and minor breakdown maintenance and to assist in the development of new products and processes.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for process maintenance of the assembly area equipment
  • Perform set ups and changeovers.
  • Assist machine operators with machine start-up as necessary
  • Perform project work as assigned by the Supervisor
  • Perform troubleshooting for machines.
  • Investigate non-conforming product and make recommendations
  • Assist process engineers with process operations
  • Perform preventive maintenance per schedule
  • Train and transfer knowledge to team members
  • Troubleshoot equipment alarms and malfunctions and repair
  • Other tasks and directed by the Shift Supervisor

Job Requirements

Requirements:

 

  • Associate Degree in Mechatronics or Electronics or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Process Technician
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with electronic controllers
  • Experience Standard Operating Procedures, Control Plans

 

Ergonomic:

 

  • Bending, stooping and leaning at machines during 10 hour workday
  • Walking between machines
  • Use of hand tools, hand eye coordination required.
  • Lifting up to 30 lbs during workday
