DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Standard Motor Products, Inc. Disputanta, Virginia Distribution Center is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as the Inventory Control Supervisor.  This position reports to the Director of Distribution. 

Manages the Cycle Count Process for the facility incompliance with Company policy to facilitate inventory accuracy and to eliminate the need for physical inventory.  This includes calculating and scheduling of +80,000 parts, and supervising staff to accomplish this on schedule. Involved in all aspects of warehouse Operations, and responsible for signing off on adjustments in accordance with company policy. Responsible for monitoring variances between various systems used in the facility, researching and reconciling differences. 

• Responsible for calculating and scheduling parts to be cycle counted, and insure they are done on time.

• Observe and monitor operations transactions to ensure we continue to adhere to policies outlined in SOX documents.

• Involved in all major physical inventory activities in such a manner to meet corporate guidelines; resolve any inventory variance issues in an accurate and timely manner.

• Oversight; looking for improvement to have inventory available to the customer on a timely basis, often interacting with other departments.

• Assure required reports and records are prepared and maintained on time and accurately.

• Perform internal advisory functions to key managers on pertinent facility material related issues.

• Supervise and train staff to assure that regular cycle counts are performed in an extremely accurate manner.

• Investigate and resolve of inventory discrepancies.

Involved in testing to assure changes made are not negatively affecting inventory accuracy, and are in accordance with policy.
