Works with Manufacturing Engineers, Department Supervisors, Manufacturing Managers, Maintenance personnel, and personnel at various plants to design, repair, maintain, machine, and build dies, assembly tools/machines, and other tools and gages.

Education and experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or vocational trade degree; and at least five years of on-the-job experience in manual machining, tool making, and equipment maintenance or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
State accredited Journeyman program completion - preferred
Language Skills
Ability to speak and read English is required. Ability to speak and/or read Spanish is a beneficial skill, but not required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to author reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, suppliers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Solid Works and AutoCAD Design software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel are required.
Mechanical Aptitude
The ability to understand and then apply the functioning of complex mechanical systems composed of a variety of components with several interrelated and non-related movements and/or variables to job requirements. Ability to independently conceptualize, analyze, and/or compare moderately complicated mechanical systems with several interrelated movements and/or variables.
