The Greenville Operations Facility manufactures fuel injectors and various other Engine Management products. About the Job

 

We are looking for a Shift Supervisor for the Weekend Night Shift assembly and component operation.  This non-exempt salaried position leads production employees through the daily duties of their respective areas of operation.  Resolves issues and motivates employees to safely produce quality products in a timely manner.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Lead teams in communication of weekly/daily goals, feedback and trends
  • Manage timecards weekly
  • Schedule/Plan/Prioritize production runs.
  • Track performance vs. schedule
  • Identify production issues
  • Document disciplinary issues
  • Schedule vacations/leave time/so as to keep critical operations covered.
  • Maintain adequate people/skills mix to run department with manager.
  • Interview and staff area
  • Coach and give feedback to current employees
  • Conduct annual performance reviews
  • Coach low performers
  • Track training for respective area
  • Enforce safety rules and company policies
  • Coordinate with Engineering/Maintenance/Management to resolve quality or downtime issues.
  • Enter data for production and scrap
  • Execute responsibilities for fire, weather or medical emergency.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

 

  • Minimum Associate Degree and/or 5 years experience in related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with leadership, setting goals with follow-up, disciplinary issues and policy enforcement.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
  • Good organizational and communication skills

 

Ergonomic:

 

  • Bending, stooping and leaning at machines during 12 hour workday
  • Uses computer workstation
  • Talks with team members
  • Using telephone, copier, fax and printer
  • Standing/walking/sitting
