Job Description and Responsibilities:
Catalog Content Lead is a leader that will develop and execute strategies to provide the automotive aftermarket with the latest content information to drive growth. This role will be responsible for providing customers with the catalog data, and expertise to best support the Standard Motor Products content. This person must possess a combination of relationship development, digital content, data architecture skills, and strategic thinking to both articulate a vision and drive that vision into an actionable plan.
o Verify accuracy and consistency of vehicle applications (automotive and other -motives) with OE research information and other resources.
o Verify accuracy and consistency of product information such as attributes, interchange, descriptions, features & benefits, and product relationships
o Verify accuracy and consistency of product image and other product digital assets. Some minor image retouching may be required.
o Monitoring of existing product vehicle coverage reports for accuracy and consistency, and assist product managers with custom coverage reports
o This person will be a team player and participate in department projects (IE catalog proofing and QA).
o Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to help the team drive the process
o Knowledge of automotive aftermarket data standards and technical skills (e.g. ability to query data using MS Access and /or SQL) would be considered a significant asset
o Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
• Basic car knowledge and automotive experience is essential.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. If not, 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent interpersonal/communications skills.
• Ability to utilize any of the data analyst tools in MS-Office like Excel, Access is required. Ability to use Adobe Suite, SQL Server, InDesign, a general knowledge of Visual Basic for Apps is a plus
• Ability to understand and apply algebraic theory used in many MS Office products.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills; good organizational skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret situations and adjust effort accordingly.
