Marketing Services Mission

Provide world class marketing support to our sales teams and customers across all channels. Develop and implement external marketing programs that provide real value to our channel partners to enhance SMP market leadership.

 

Primary Relationships

The MCM reports to the Director of Marketing Services, Engine Management, and works closely with in-house creative team and other departments to manage communication and content dispersion to SMP field sales forces and customers across all market channels, and contribute to a culture that aligns with SMP’s core values.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team, building strong relationships with Sales, Product and Engineering groups to create dynamic, impactful and differentiated content
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the influence of company products and services through a variety of media, including organic and paid social, web, digital, video, advertising, print, press releases, news stories, sales support material, etc. to a variety of market channels
  • Oversee community management on all social media platforms and respond to questions and concerns in a timely manner
  • Work with ad and media planning agencies to roll out engaging content for digital and print campaigns
  • Collaborate to develop best-in-class storytelling that delivers the right content in the right formats to the proper channels in alignment with business priorities and marketing/communications themes
  • Support strategic keyword and SEO-driven content plans with analytic tracking and optimization
  • Manage content for multiple websites, including Corporate and brand sites
  • Develop and manage the Standard eBlast program, including implementation and tracking to engage customers and build awareness of products and initiatives
  • Track performance of digital content-driven campaigns including SEO, SEM, website, email, advertising, social media, etc., and adjust marketing tactics as necessary to meet objectives and deliverables
  • Marketing promotions - manage the setup, process, and execution of EMD marketing promotions, including official rules, press releases, winner notifications, etc.
  • Sales support – communicate new EMD and corporate marketing material and initiatives to SMP salesforce and customers via bulletins, webinars, presentations, and management of corporate literature site inventory
  • Work across departments to maintain a repeatable process – based on stakeholder needs – for the support of key marketing channels such as SMP literature site, distribution lists, EMD brand and corporate websites, etc.

Job Requirements

Requirements: Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and good narrative instincts with ability to think and act as a writer/editor/publisher
  • Ability to develop and manage brand content across all applicable social media platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
  • Superior attention to detail and organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Project management skills to oversee editorial schedules and deadlines for media campaigns
  • Command of Microsoft Office is mandatory – experience with Adobe software, Content Management System (Umbraco CMS), and marketing automation tools such as Typeform, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, Survey Monkey is a real plus.
