Support the daily needs of the Engineering Department through the installation, programming, start-up, and maintenance of automation and electrical equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Applies engineering principle to design, modify, or develop test stands, equipment, and test processes for automotive aftermarket products.
  • Develop/modify LabVIEW applications for testing of automotive components.
  • Design control solutions integrating industrial process controls, signal conditioners and NI hardware with LabVIEW.
  • Design Data Acquisition solutions with LabVIEW and other applications.
  • Work with PLC/HMI programs and electrical control systems.
  • Supervise the Panel Fabrication Technicians with assembly of Control Panels.

Job Requirements

Requirements/ Experience:

  • BS degree in Electrical, Computer Science or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent employment experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in test automation implementation, using LabVIEW.
  • 3-5 years of controls and electrical systems design experience with industrial automation.
  • LabVIEW programing preferably with training certification.
  • Experience with LabVIEW RIO platform including LabVIEW RT and LabVIEW FPGA.
  • Knowledge of Communication Protocols and familiarity with other programming languages like C++ is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
