Job Description

Standard Motor Products Inc., based in Reynosa Mexico and McAllen, Texas, has several satellite warehouses that coordinate inbound raw material and out bound finished product for our assembly plant in Reynosa, Mexico. Primary responsibility will be over seeing the facility in Reynosa that provides in-country distribution serving the Mexican marketplace, with oversite of the facility in McAllen servicing the USA market.  We are currently seeking an individual to join our team and play an integral role in the oversight of these distribution operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Directing safety/security efforts for employees/facility
  • Overseeing accurate inventory transactions
  • Ensuring defined levels of quality/service for receipts, packaging and shipments
  • Coordination of inbound and outbound freight cross docking
  • Managing, motivating and directing staff
  • Developing/monitoring budgets and key metrics
  • Determining feasibility of new/revised distribution systems

Job Requirements

To qualify, you must have approximately 8 years of progressively responsible distribution experience that encompasses warehouse operations management, traffic, & customer service. College degree or related experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related discipline is desirable with the ability to effectively create/manage a customer focused and productive environment. Proficiency with integrated logistics, Warehouse Management Systems (SAP, JDE, etc.), and Microsoft suite of products are essential. The ability to strategically meet established goals/objectives is a must. Strong leadership, oral/written communication and analytical skills are necessary. Must be bi-lingual & willing and able to travel into our Reynosa, Mexico plant periodically.
